The installation questions on the common belief that practice makes perfect. Through the repetitive and harsh sounds of the erhu, the artwork convey the struggle faced by East Asian children who endure rigid “mechanical” training since young age, while also capturing the discomfort experienced by those who watch, sensing the lack of genuine emotion. "Practice" allows audience to hear the duality of torment and invites them to reflect on what this relentless, emotionless repetition truly signifies.
